Comm

I think that the blog assignments is a great tool to communicate our thoughts not just to our classmates, but as a reflection of the material lectured in class. It helped us to not just read or sit through lecture and text, but with a blog and creative assignments, we can assess theories and concepts to our own lives. I have always thought that it is always easier to learn a subject if we can apply it to our own experiences. I learned more about myself through these assignments by putting myself in a management perspective and seeing what type of manager I might be in different events. Prof K's blog definitely provided interesting points of view of handling situations in organizations (particuarly the bear and monkey stories). These blogs were more of an intuitive nature.

I was able to vent about problems I had and receive supportive feedback from classmates. It was nice to see what everyone had to say on a more personal level, not just hearing their short responses from class.

Blogs were a helpful and creative channel to approaching management. I think that it represented not just 20% of our grade fairly, but I like that we were able to contribute to our grade from a constructive yet individualistic and creative way. I hope to continue to post entries that are relevant to management from experiences in life, especially from work since I plan to join the work force in a few weeks.

I also thought that the blog for management class was a good way to make the students apply their experiences with the lessons learned in class. It also gave us feedback and thoughts of other students in our class.

The blog were definitely a good idea and also a great point about learning about yourself through the assignments and seeing what type of manager you were in different events. I was also able to see the type of manager I could be. Everytime I learned something new it was like thats exactly me. from this blog I can definitely see that you enjoyed writing on this blog a lot. I hope you do keep on writing on it and expressing yourself to your hearts content.

Having to do a blog after each class activity definitely helped me grasp the concept of many of the management topics such as planning and decision making. I agree that the three extra blogs posted by Prof. Kurpis were very interesting and the lessons learned from them will definitely help me along in my life as well as many other students. Completing the blogs correctly and responding on time to other blogs to get 20% of our final grade was a no-brainer. It was a great incentive to make everyone communicate with each other via the blog.

I agree that the blog coupled with the classroom exercises helped in learning about management. Also, it is a great form of expression

i Completely agree with you. Some people believe that the blog is inconsistent with the experiments we've done in class, but i find the sujects to be completley relevant. I didnt think of the Blog as a way to vent, but i guess you have a point. Good luck on your entry into the work force. :)
