***Vision***

Although the vision we saw was a bit repetitive (and eventually a weeeee boring), it was inspiring. Vision + action is empowering toward everyone's future. The following are my future personal and career goals:

-continue working for UBS (where I currently intern) after graduation
-receive a MBA in Finance
-see the world
-be financially secure, all on my own (secure enough for the big house, nice car and good lifestyle)
-enjoy and be happy doing all of the above

I am determined to live a very comfortable lifestyle in the future. Beyond graduating, I think having the right connections, determination and opportunity is essential. I am currently interning at UBS Financial Services (wealth management division) and I see the advisors I work for making very good money and enjoying themselves while doing it. I hope that by commiting my time there will pay off. I think that doors are opening slowly since my boss asked me yesterday if I would like to continue with UBS after graduation. With the job market as bad as it currently is, this opportunity would definitely help me get to where I want to be. I am willing to strive to show not just my advisors, but everyone around me I am determined to learn. Staying later, asking relevant questions and absorbing what I learn will get me to where I want to be. My 'go-getter' attitude will hopefully eventually make my vision become my reality.

I like your vision of wanting to be successful financially in life. I think that's everyone's goal but some people just say they want that and never work for it. I think being financially successful and even independent and being a woman makes us even better. Nowadays, it isn't about woman depending on men for money or even happiness. We are doing just fine without them and being able to support ourselves is another way to shove it in a mans face that "yeah, i don't need you." Besides having money just to be happy, it gives us a sense of accomplishment. Knowing that you have something because you got it yourself is more fulfilling and satisfying than saying that someone else got it for you. People in general should learn to work for what they want and not expect it to be handed to you. Being that you already have an internship and now a job waiting for you upon graduation (congratulations because having that opportunity waiting for you relieves axlot of stress that might come with graduating) makes your life and your vision seem easier. Your go-getter attitude and your hard work is definitely paying off now and hopefully it'll pay off for you in the near future.

Yea living a good wealth life is a dream vision, for me. Of course with your status now I think you would definitely make it one day. I see you work very hard and you are very bright too, so I don't think it would be a big problem for you to achieve your vision, even when the economy is unstable you still holds a good standing, so keep up the good work and good future will not be far away. Also your determination and independence sound very positive, if only more people are like you our economy would boom in no time. You have your visions and you are willing to work for them, that is all it takes to be successful, and of course on top of that, good education.

You are in a great position to fulfull all of your goals. You said your boss asked if you would like to work there after you graduate which is a huge step for the future. Receiving an MBA would only make that goal even more reachable. After you receive that MBA you will be able to move up and get a great job which will pay well. That can lead to your third goal of seeing the world on vacation time as long as being financially secure. And ofcourse, if you fulfull your first four goals you will be happy doing all of them. College isn't all about burying your nose in the books and studying every night. It opens opportunities for people to grow and see how diverse life really is. These doors open in all different ways to help you get better job offers. Life is also about connections. That is why it is great to intern and show people what kind of person you are and that you are a "go-getter." You are definitely heading in the right direction. Keep it up!

If you have already an internship at UBS and they actually asked you if you would be interested in a full-time employment, it seems your next step towards your vision is already set. Having a go-getter attitude will definitely help you a great deal. You are determined, hard working and willing to learn while keeping a positive attitude and having a good time. The MBA will obviously help you in attaining the financial security you desire and travel the world as you please. Considering the job market currently you are at an huge advantage and definitely on the way to fulfilling your vision in the near future. Have fun and congratulations!

I think that your visions will come true. and to prove it the first step you were asked if you wanted to be employed at where you are interning after you graduate. Which is a great thing...Also, being financially secure is another big thing. I too think that being able to provide for yourself and takeing care of you is a very good thing to acomplish. I think everyone should not depend on anyone, everyone should be independent in order to get you where you want to be.

I agree with you on financial stable. I also want to be financial stable as well! Especially in this market, you never know you will be the one who may lose the job next. Also, if we can financially stable, then we can use this amount of money to travel the world, or buy the stuffs we like.

I really think that you can achieve all your goals, because you're working so hard for them! I think your hard work and time will pay off :)

You go girl! From what I see, you're already working toward the vision and it seems like it's going to happen. You obviously know what needs to be done and don't mind putting in a little more effort to achieve it. Good luck to you and I hope all goes well, especially with seeing the world, because I want to too. :)

So you have a head start now by interning at UBS, which is a very helpful first step. For many people it is hard to obtain their first internship since they do not have much of experience in financial industry. And now that you are there, don't let the opportunity slide by. I like that you are willing to fully commit yourself to the job in order to become successful. I agree with you that knowing the right people and networking are very important tools to getting where you want to be. Congratulations on the offer and keep up your great attitude and willingness to succeed!

You definately have a go-getter attitude, and it is exactly what you need to get where you want to in life. All the actions you have described taking, are going to get you stability and a comfortable lifestyle, but one you wrote is 'see the world' and I am a bit thrown off by that. You mentioned it as your goal but didn't write what you are going to do to achieve it. I share this vision of yours, so I understand where you're coming from, however don't forget that once you're in the corporate world, you're on a path to success, and it is difficult to take alot of time off to travel and 'see the world'. All I'm trying to say is, don't lose sight of this vision of yours, because you have your whole life ahead of you to do so. Even though it will be difficult to fit travel in with all of your other goals, you can do it. Good luck, even though I have a feeling you won't need it!

Being able to commit yourself to the goal of future financial stablility is one you should stick to. Keeping your internship is something you should strive and will definitely do. As long as you have your foot in the door the sky is the limit for you. You have opportunities and acces to so many things that people wish they had. Keep on the track you are on now and you will surely be happy in the future.

I think you should continue to work for the UBS company after you graduate. As you said, the economy right now is so bad, you may not find a job that you like as the job you are doing now. However, you should ask yourself, do you really like the job or not? Do you really want to spent the rest of your life over there? If your answers are positive, then you should stay in that company. If your answers are negative, then you can temporary working over there, once the economy is getting better, you can find another job, and try to be happy on the job that you are working for.
