Planning

Our group executed the first two steps within the first 10 minutes. We knew that we had limited resources and time, and therefore, had to plan accordingly. The scissors was a scarce material, so we did not want to rely too heavily on it. We came up with alternative methods of creating a casing for our egg. Ripping up the pieces of tape was just as effective as cutting and we were not limited to any time constraints without the scissors. This was indeed a good idea since we hardly saw the scissors circulate in the little time we had. Everyone had 'jobs' to carry out once we were able to assemble our contraption. This made everything run smoothly and efficiently.

By dividing up our time, assignments, materials and having a just in case plan, our group worked well together. Problems we had anticipated were easily overcome. All of the steps were implemented and I think we did well. Our plan did work and our egg was sage. I do not think there were any points we overlooked that could have helped our effectiveness.

Hi Stephanie,

I was in the same group with you, and I agree with you! Our group did great! We came up with so many ideas, and everyone participate in the activity. It was a nice experience to be in the group with you! I hope that we can work together again ;)

I agree that your group's plan is effective since you completed your egg protection within the limited time, and your egg has not broken. Indeed, by without using the scissor, it saved time when you built up your protective egg case.
Also, I would like to say that we have the same idea about our plan that we don't know what to change from because it is so effective already.

I think its good that your group didnt depend on the sissors since there was only one pair for the entire class. As far as my group, we were copletely opposite. We completely focused on getting the sissors that i think if we were the last group to get them, we wouldnt be able to organize our time effectively and we'd end up waiting and doing nothing.

Following all the planning steps tells me that your group is effective planner. Our group did not depend on using scissor because as you mentioned ripping the tape in pieces would be effective as cutting. It saves time. Diving up time among the group members is a great idea.
